Take a couple of deep breaths.
Recall that you are in the presence of God.
You are loved and blessed.

2 Corinthians 8:12–15
12 For if the eagerness is there, the gift is acceptable according to what one has—not according to what one does not have. 13 I do not mean that there should be relief for others and pressure on you, but it is a question of a fair balance between 14 your present abundance and their need, so that their abundance may be for your need, in order that there may be a fair balance. 15 As it is written,
“The one who had much did not have too much,
and the one who had little did not have too little.”

God asks us to be the hands and feet of Jesus. Showing His love to the extent we are able. His hope is that suffering would be lessened and even eliminated by our generous action.

What am I called to do in order to help the hungry, the poor, the sick, the imprisoned?
In addition to giving money and goods, have I ever felt God’s call on me to give my time to help others?

Pray to God in your own words or perhaps use the prayer below.
Holy God
Thank you for your love and goodness.
You show me the way of life and joy.
Help me be more like you.
Help me be more loving and caring.
Help me be more forgiving.
Help me follow You, in all your ways.
