Take a couple of deep breaths.
Recall that you are in the presence of God.
You are loved and blessed.

Psalm 94
1O Lord, you God of vengeance,
you God of vengeance, shine forth!
2Rise up, O judge of the earth;
give to the proud what they deserve!
3O Lord, how long shall the wicked,
how long shall the wicked exult?

What should my response to evil be. There is surely evil in the world, I hear stories every night on the news. David’s response is to pray to God, asking God to give them what they deserve. I am told in Romans 12:19-21 not to seek vengeance myself, rather to treat enemies with love, so that evil might be overcome with good.

Who do I need to repay with good for the hurt and pain they have caused me.
What can I say or do to love and care for those who have wronged me.

Pray to God in your own words or perhaps use the prayer below.
Loving Lord Jesus
You prayed for and asked forgiveness for those who were crucifying you.
Help me be more loving and caring.
Help me be more forgiving.
Help me be more like you.
Fill my heart with love for all those around me
Especially those who I have difficulty with.
Fill my heart with the desire to bless others.
